Key duties include investigating environmental hazards and illnesses, inspecting sites for compliance with health codes, and reviewing plans for environmental health requirements. The position is in the on-site septic program, primarily conducting field and complaint investigations, and OSS Operation & Maintenance. The role also involves providing technical assistance and education on environmental health issues, working in a state-accredited environmental health laboratory, and assisting in drafting health ordinances. Additionally, the position includes grant writing, maintaining detailed records, and collaborating with state and local committees.
