Environmental Health Specialist II On-site Septic Program

Key duties include investigating environmental hazards and illnesses, inspecting sites for compliance with health codes, and reviewing plans for environmental health requirements. The position is in the on-site septic program, primarily conducting field and complaint investigations, and OSS Operation & Maintenance. The role also involves providing technical assistance and education on environmental health issues, working in a state-accredited environmental health laboratory, and assisting in drafting health ordinances. Additionally, the position includes grant writing, maintaining detailed records, and collaborating with state and local committees. This role requires a commitment to promoting safe practices and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
