Environmental Health Specialist III On-Site Septic Program

The Environmental Health Specialist III plays a vital role in protecting public health by investigating environmental hazards and enforcing health codes. Responsibilities include inspecting onsite sewage systems for compliance with regulations, as well as reviewing construction plans for environmental health standards. This position also involves conducting environmental investigations, complaint investigations and providing technical assistance and education on environmental health issues. Additionally, the specialist participates in illness investigations, emergency response activities, and hazardous waste disposal coordination. The role requires strong analytical skills, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and government agencies to ensure public health and environmental safety. The EHS III is the program lead for technical assistance and developing policies and regulations.

We are looking for a candidate with more than five years experience in Environmental Health, preferrably in the on-site septic program.
