ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF PUBLIC HEALTH

As part of a newly state-funded undergraduate program in public health, the Washington State University (WSU) CVM, including the Paul G. Allen School of Global Health, the School of Molecular Biosciences, and the Department of Veterinary Microbiology and Pathology in Pullman, WA seek to fill two permanent full-time (12 month) tenure track Assistant Professor faculty positions. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in a) health policy/health services research with a special emphasis on rural health equity, One Health, and/or Tribal and Indigenous health or b) environmental health within rural and agricultural communities, environmental sustainability, One Health and/or environmental equity.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will have a significant emphasis on undergraduate instruction, outreach and program building, and scholarly activity. Activities of outreach and program building will be replaced over time with greater scholarly activity. Final effort distribution will be based on candidate qualification and interest, but will be expected to devote a minimum of 50% effort towards research.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Terminal degree (PhD or DrPH) in the field of health policy, environmental health, health administration, public health, infectious disease, epidemiology or a closely related discipline.
